Using Audioconferences Effectively
Chapter Planning:
- Board meetings: Having a difficult time getting everyone together, particularly for chapters in large geographical areas? Use teleconferencing for some of your meetings.
- Coordinate with other chapters: Planning events and educational programs can be greatly enhanced by working with neighboring chapters.
- Committee meetings: Same as board meetings. Save the travel time and get as much accomplished.
As a Way to Deliver Educational Programs:
- Dial into the RMA audioconferences as a chapter sponsored event. Low cost, high value.
- Affinity groups or roundtable discussions via audioconference.
Things to Keep in Mind:
- Set a time limit. Generally no longer than an hour.
- If the event is an affinity group or roundtable, limit the participation to a designated list of attendees.
- Have an agenda and all other important materials in the hands of the participants in advance.
