Making Your Newsletter Work

  • Start out simple.
  • List officers and board members.
  • List upcoming events—meetings and educational events.
  • Include a report of the last event.
  • Advertise for new volunteers.
  • Have a Member Relations Consultant write an article, if appropriate.
  • Use RMA template for information or as a guide.
  • Welcome new members.
  • Include an article from the president of the chapter.
  • Include benefits of being an active volunteer—local testimonials.
  • Include articles that were submitted to the Paper Writing Competition.
  • Recognize an officer or board member who did something special.
