Regional Collaboration: Why You Should Talk to Other Volunteer Leaders
- Don't miss regional teleconferences, briefings by national officers and board members, or other opportunities to exchange ideas, raise issues, or learn about and share best practices.
- Cosponsor an educational program (e.g., Mentor) with another chapter-broadening target audience, spread work and expense, etc.
- Cosponsor a roundtable or an affinity group with another chapter to enrich perspectives, attract more participants, etc.
- Conduct a joint conference (single or multiday) with other chapters for the same reasons as above and to provide a stronger program with better presenters.
- Collaborate with a chapter (or with a group of RMA supporters) in an underserved market or remote area to provide a drop-in program.
- Collaborate with other chapters and educational institutions to establish and support a regional lending school.
- Create a regional website to serve multiple chapters—to include chapter officers, meeting schedules, educational program plans, etc.
- Conduct a regional leadership development activity, involving volunteer leaders from multiple chapters and using your Member Relations Consultant as a facilitator.
