Round Tables
Round Tables bring together small groups of senior bankers who share an interest in a particular issue. Over the course of a day or two, participants explore continuing and emerging opportunities and issues in an environment that's conducive to brainstorming and understanding. Attendance is by invitation only.
Regulatory Issues
RMA acts as a liaison between the financial services industry and bank regulatory agencies. As a nonprofit professional association, RMA does not lobby on behalf of the industry. However, RMA meets often with industry regulators to discuss issues of mutual concerns such as the impact of the slowing economy on bank portfolios.
Basel II
RMA continues to work with the Basel Committee to reform the 1988 Capital Accord by providing industry input as to how the proposals impact bank capital and overall operations.
Loan Loss Reserves
RMA continues to closely follow the issue of Loan Loss Reserves since an AICPA Task Force revised its position significantly to allow for management judgment.

RMA/Wharton Advanced Risk Management Program
The Risk Management Association (RMA), Wharton Executive Education, and The Wharton Financial Institutions Center have partnered to create the first advanced program on risk management for executives. The program meets a critical need in the industry to integrate risk management with financial management and strategy. Institutions will nominate those executives on track to lead or oversee divisional or enterprise-wide risk management functions.

RMA-Credit Risk Certification Exam
The designation will be RMA Credit Risk Certified. For Credit risk professionals who want to gain the recognition they deserve and add a valuable industry credential to their resume. Also for employers to use as a tool in hiring job candidates they know have the requisite skills and knowledge to succeed.
