The RMA Committee on Securities Lending supports prudent risk management practices and the communication of these practices to securities lending clients. There is a need to facilitate a dialogue with lending clients concerning the risk components and risk management tools that securities lending institutions use to properly manage the business. The topics addressed in these best practice papers are intended to provide a structure for discussion between the lender and the lending agent. The goal is to establish a communication process to ensure lender awareness of the investment management aspects of the business when discussing risk management policies with their lending agent.
