RMA is seeking an individual to design, develop and manage educational materials and delivery media for
risk management professionals. This position reports to the Director of Project Management and Enterprise Risk.
Principal Accountabilities
- Design and develop instructionally effective, informational, and performance based solutions that are instructor-led, web-based, or a combination of blended learning. Establish effective plans that are designed to bring projects in on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with internal and external constituencies to conduct effective needs assessments and gain relevant customization information and meet customer needs.
- Work with subject matter experts in order to develop the necessary product deliverables. Work within
contracted provisions, oversee and edit work of the developer/subject matter experts. Coordinate the review, revision, editorial, and production process. - Effectively manage project budgets – time and cost, and in a timely manner advise director of project’s status.
- Function as staff resource for assigned projects. In a timely manner, inform director, team members, and
other RMA teams such as member relations and marketing on all phases of the project in order to prepare for an orderly product launch. - Evaluate course feedback, recommend changes, and oversee implementation of necessary changes in program or materials.
- Perform ongoing administrative product management tasks for all assigned products including secure file management protocols for assigned products.
- In collaboration with the customer and the Member Relationship Consultants, coordinate and oversee content development for customized solutions.
Qualifications
This position requires that the candidate work effectively in a team environment and possess the ability to balance and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent verbal and strong written communication skills, and creativity are required as well as a commitment to quality. A patient, proactive, service philosophy oriented toward meeting member needs is a must.
The candidate should evidence the ability to encourage subordinates development and growth and provide guidance (e.g., coaching) so that they may reach their potential.
The position requires at minimum a Bachelors Degree combined with a Graduate level degree (preferred) in Instructional Design or Education or the equivalent in relevant work experience, with a minimum of 5-10 years of instructional design and/or project management experience. Intermediate to Advanced level proficiency in PC based word processing and spreadsheet applications in a Windows environment required.
