I have been in the financial services industry for 37 years; the majority of which has been spent in commercial banking. I was first introduced to RMA through my initial bank training which included a training series from RMA.
RMA has benefited my career in countless ways. I have taken many RMA courses, attended training seminars, as well as local/state conferences and round tables, all of which have helped in developing and maintaining an up-to-date credit skill set and other pertinent skill sets. These resources have also given me the chance to connect with other RMA members.
As a manager and mentor to early career Bankers, I frequently promote RMA’s resources to my employees. RMA’s offerings cover every stage of a banker’s career – from credit analyst, early-career banker, mid-career banker to senior banker providing continuing education in core risk management and other relevant curriculum.
Additionally, attending RMA’s events, forums, round tables, and training courses have helped me further my professional education objectives. Each of these opportunities allows me to stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions as they pertain to my area of responsibility both as a relationship manager and as a credit officer.
