Financial Analyst

Position Summary:

This position conducts financial analysis and applies principles of accounting to analyze past and present financial operations and estimates future revenue and expenditures and develops and maintains a variety of accounting and financial analysis reports for all operating areas and assists with general accounting processes and report writing. 


Job Accountabilities

  1. In an accurate and timely manner, develop and maintain various accounting, financial, sales, and customer reports for all operating areas from financial and CRM databases.
  2. Develop and evaluate profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
  3. Develop and update Board and Executive level financial presentations, including executive narratives explaining financial performances and trends. 
  4. Gather, analyze, and summarize financial information to determine present and future corporate and business line financial performance.
  5. Meet regularly with CFO and Controller to present periodic financial performances by business line supported by detail data analytics.
  6. Meet with business unit leaders on a periodic/quarterly basis to review operating performance and provide variance explanations to the CFO and Controller that drive quarterly business financial reviews.
  7. Establish and maintain databases of pertinent information for use in models and analyzing past, present, and future financial plans, and forecasts.
  8. Working with CFO, Controller and business unit leaders, development, and presentations on annual corporate budget.
  9. Meet quarterly with the CEO, CFO and Controller to review financial projections and annual budget.
  10. Effectively assist with development of reports and various business scenarios and analyses.
  11. Identify financial trends and suggest improvements accordingly.
  12. Make recommendations regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
  13. Assist with all departmental or finance related process and procedures improvements, as needed.
  14. Assist with development of written business plans for projects and corporate strategies.
  15. Effectively assist with general accounting processes.
  16. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

 To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, combined with 5-10 years of relevant experience in business accounting and at least 3 years in financial analysis and visual analytics.  
  2. Candidate must be detail oriented, have excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills, along with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  3. The ability to follow instructions, prioritize workflow and work with minimal supervision is essential.
  4. Candidates must have an in-depth working knowledge of computer systems in a windows environment including expert experience in Microsoft Excel and strong proficiency in PC based accounting systems.
