Senior Vice President & Head of Enterprise Risk Management

Present Job Function: Parekh is head of enterprise risk management at TD Bank and is responsible for the development and implementation of enterprise risk management strategies and practices including risk appetite, board risk reporting, risk identification, and a number of firm-wide governance requirements. Her new focus is integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risk strategies within TD's risk frameworks and practices.
Previous Employment: Parekh joined TD Bank in 2011 and leads the enterprise risk function. She has 18+ years experience in risk management, audit, and consulting services with proven expertise in governance, design, and implementation of risk strategies across large organizations. Parekh’s success is driven by her ability to engage diversity of thought and build strong business partnerships to improve the identification of areas of potential risk and exposure. Previously, Parekh worked at Ernst & Young as a consultant for eight years in their risk and technology assurance practices.
Education: Parekh earned a degree in finance from the University of Delaware with a minor in management information systems and an MBA from the University of Edinburgh.
