Executive Vice President & Chief Risk Officer

Present Job Function: Bowe is executive vice president and chief risk officer of Busey Bank, a Champaign, Illinois-based financial holding company for Busey Bank and FirsTech, Inc. In this capacity, she leads the independent risk management function including compliance, enterprise risk management, operational risk, model risk, information security, and loan review. First Busey has $12.57 billion in total assets and has $12.33 billion in assets under care through Busey Bank’s Wealth Management division.
Previous Employment: Prior to joining First Busey, Bowe was senior vice president and senior director of operational risk with KeyBank (2003-2019) where she was responsible for management of the operational risk oversight for functional areas, operational risk quantification/stress testing, corporate insurance, and operational loss events.
Bowe was previously finance director at KeyBank, where she served as the CFO for multiple functional areas, providing leadership and oversight for planning, forecasting and financial analysis. Prior to joining KeyBank, Bowe served in various finance roles at QualChoice and PNC.
Education: Bowe earned an MBA in finance from the Cleveland State University and a BS in accounting from Case Western Reserve University. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
