Product Manager – Professional Development

JOB SUMMARY

The Risk Management Association was founded to promote sound risk management principles within the financial services industry.  For over 100 years, we’ve been building a rich community of risk management practitioners, ranging from early career to seasoned industry leaders, who are dedicated to elevating the profession through peer sharing, thought leadership, and professional development.  Our long-standing history of being a credible and unifying voice keeps RMA among the most trusted resources in the industry.  

To maintain our leadership status and transform into a next-gen association that delivers exceptional member experiences, we need a Product Manager to own, manage and drive the success of our portfolio of professional development offerings.  This is a newly created role which gives you the opportunity to white space your portfolio and influence how we sell and distribute to our incredible buyer base. 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Year 1 is going to be about:  

  • Analyzing market and competitive conditions to develop a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value to RMA members and meets profitability goals.
  • Owning the creative process of generating, developing, and curating new offerings.
  • Evaluating the existing portfolio to improve offerings ensuring relevance, growth, and satisfaction of the end user.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related field; MBA is desired
  • 10+ years of experience in product management or marketing roles focused in the professional development or adult learning space
  • Prior product management lifecycle experience including P&L and commercial responsibility with demonstrated track record meeting and exceeding annual targets and revenue goals. 
  • Experience working with multiple distribution and sales methods (direct sales team, partnerships, resellers, etc.)
  • A strong service philosophy, entrepreneurial approach, and ownership mentality
