Project Manager

Position Purpose 

This position works with RMA staff to plan, budget, monitor and report on RMA’s projects.  The project manager is the bridge between upper management and the teams tasked with the actual execution of the project.  The project manager is responsible for making sure the scope of the project is sound, reports regularly on the progress of the project and ensures that it stays on the approved schedule.  Any project that utilizes staff from multiple departments, has a start and finish, and results in an end product should utilize the project manager.  This position will work on the team that reports to the Chief Operating Officer. 

Principal Accountabilities 

  1. Work with RMA staff to plan, implement and manage project plans
  2. Assist team with defining project scope, goals and deliverables
  3. Collect and manage project team 
  4. Define tasks and required resources
  5. Align project objectives with company goals and make sure the entire project team is clear on objectives
  6. Assist in process of issue identification and resolution
  7. Manage all documentation related to a project
  8. Work multiple projects simultaneously
  9. Foster partnership with customers/stakeholders/sponsors
  10. Monitor and report on project progress for various stakeholders, including CEO and Board of Directors
  11. Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
  12. Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
  13. Evaluate and assess result of project
  14. Other duties as assigned.

  • College degree required
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a project manager
  • Acquired or pursuing Professional Project Management certification
  • Theoretical and practical project management knowledge
  • Knowledge of techniques and tools
  • Proficiency in project management software tools, PowerPoint and excel Competencies
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving 
  • Strong communicator  
  • Ability to work with different personalities

  • Able to work on multiple projects at one time; strong time management skills
