Gretchen Burud Bottrill is a Senior Credit Officer who oversees the $4Bn energy portfolio for Regions, a regional bank that operates throughout the South, Midwest, and Texas and is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama.
Gretchen is aligned with a team of nine corporate and investment banking professionals with national client responsibilities, along with eleven debt product officers. She also works closely with a team of experienced petroleum engineers and technicians to evaluate reserve-based loans for exploration and production clients.
Prior to her current role Gretchen helped create a new vertical lending portfolio for Regions of power and utilities clients, increasing commitments by $1.7Bn over a four-year period. In both roles Gretchen developed supporting credit policies and procedures while regularly interacting with credit review, reporting, and other institutional functions within Regions.
Prior to joining Regions in 2014 Gretchen served in a variety of both credit and client-facing roles at Bank of America. In addition to acting as the Business Support Executive to the head of Global Commercial Banking Risk, she was a Credit Risk Executive for a variety of geographic markets and also managed a $3Bn portfolio of power and utility clients.
Gretchen has been an active participant in RMA’s Oil and Gas Roundtable for several years. She serves as Treasurer for Veritas Community School, a tuition-free charter school in Charlotte, NC. She is also a board member of Presbyterian Psychological Services, a non-profit organization that provides mental health services within the Charlotte area.
Gretchen received an undergraduate degree from the St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN and an MBA from Indiana University.
