Sean Callum

Sean Callum has a 27-year career that spans various disciplines including urban economic development; commercial real estate development, investment and finance; banking credit and risk management.  Sean is currently VP, Credit Risk Officer at First Republic Bank. He is responsible for ensuring that the bank stays within it credit risk appetite and worked closely with the Chief Risk Officer to build the Enterprise Risk Management for the bank.  

Civic Engagement Bio 

Sean has been civically engaged for most of his adult life either as a mentor of young people or through numerous community service projects sponsored by the Rotary Club of Oakland #3 including development of affordable single family homes as the Rotary Home Building Committee Chair.  Sean has served as a board member of the Oakland Rotary Club #3 and the Oakland Rotary Endowment Board of Trustees.  Currently he is a board member of the Alameda-Oakland Community Action Partnership (AC-OCAP), which is a tripartite administering board charged with allocating community service block grant funds (CSBG) to local organizations fighting the war on poverty.  Sean is currently on the board of Eden Housing Inc., one of the largest affordable housing developers in California.  Sean holds a bachelors of Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
