Systems Administrator

The Risk Management Association was founded to promote sound risk management principles within the financial services industry. For over 100 years, we’ve been building a rich community of risk management practitioners, ranging from early career to seasoned industry leaders, who are dedicated to elevating the profession through peer sharing, thought leadership, and professional development. Our long-standing history of being a credible and unifying voice keeps RMA among the most trusted resources in the industry.

To maintain our leadership status and transform into a next-gen association we need a systems administrator to provide a secure, scalable, reliable, and predictable infrastructure to support our day to day operations and future growth.  No two days will be alike as you’ll be challenged to work both strategically and tactically across the IT systems landscape.  One minute you might be collaborating with peers to think through a new business solution, the next minute talking to a vendor about a software enhancement, and the next educating staff on IT security issues.  Regardless of the task, you’ll need strong EQ and well-developed consultative skills to work adeptly with all levels of the organization and varying technical competence.

Year 1 is going to be about:

  • Serving as the “Microsoft domain and Office365 expert”, championing functionality to improve overall performance and drive process automation
  • Contributing to the success of the IT team, and its direction and strategy of the department with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Introduce and lead implementation of new technologies to improve business workflows
  • Performing system enhancements including configuration changes, to ensure proper and correct system functionality, and troubleshoot system issues
  • Developing and implement policies and procedures to ensure systems are secured
  • Selecting and implementing new tools to manage our systems and partnering with vendors to monitor our security

In order to be successful, we’ll need you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Microsoft domain technologies
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and other Office365 technologies
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with VMWare ESXi standalone hosts and vCenter host clusters
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing private cloud environments
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing information security.
