At 10:00 AM the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs will hold a hearing entitled:  “Oversight of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission”.  The sole witness will be Jay Clayton, Chairman, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

At 2:00 PM the House Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing entitled:  “Assessing the Impact of FASB’s Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) Accounting Standard on Financial Institutions and the Economy”. Witnesses will include:  Joseph Stieven, CEO, Stieven Capital Advisors, LP; Bill Nelson, EVP and Chief Economist, The Bank Policy Institute; Scott Blackley, CFO, Capital One Financial Corporation; and Mark Zandi, Chief Economist, Moody’s Analytics.

December 12, 2018

At 10:00 AM the House Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing entitled:  “Evaluating the Effectiveness of the International Financial Institutions”. The sole witness will be David Malpass, Under Secretary for International Affairs, U.S. Department of the Treasury.
