At 10:00 AM the House Committee on Financial Services will hold a hearing entitled: “The Traffickers’ Roadmap: How Bad Actors Exploit Financial Systems to Facilitate the Illicit Trade in People, Animals, Drugs, and Weapons.” Witnesses will include: Travis Adkins, Lecturer, Walsh School of Foreign Services, Georgetown University; Togzhan Kassenova, Senior Fellow, Center for Policy Research, SUNY-Albany; Celina Realuyo, Professor, The George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs; Gretchen Peters, Executive Director, Center on Illicit Network and Organized Crime; and Angel Swift, Founder and Director, Enigma Technologies.

At 2:00 PM the House Committee on Financial Services will hold a hearing entitled: “Drivers of Discrimination: An Examination of Unfair Premiums, Practices, and Policies in the Auto Insurance Industry.” Witnesses will include: Douglas Heller, Insurance Expert, Consumer Federation of America; Elizabeth Dwyer, Superintendent of Insurance, the State of Rhode Island, on behalf of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners; Eric Poe, COO, CURE Auto Insurance; Sonja Larkin-Thorne, VP (retired), The Hartford; and Erin Collins, VP, National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies.

At 10:00 AM the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs will hold a hearing entitled: “Threats Posed by State-Owned and State-Supported Enterprises to Public Transportation.” Witnesses on Panel I will include: John Cornyn, U.S. Senator, Texas; and Tammy Baldwin, U.S. Senator, Wisconsin. Panel II witnesses will include: Michael O’Malley, President, Railway Supply Institute; Scout Paul, President, Alliance for American Manufacturing; Emily de La Bruyere, Principal, Horizon Advisory; and Frank Cilluffo, Director, Center for Cyber and Homeland Security, Auburn University.
