We will present a summary of these legislative changes regarding Contingency Reserve Fund financial planning, as well as the core features of all Standards expected in a Depreciation Report. This workshop will guide attendees through a step-by-step process to calculate Reserve Adequacy (Percent Funded), the internationally accepted method for measuring the health of a Strata Corporation, the norms in BC, and discuss several other benchmarks that can be utilized for analysis. There will also be a discussion of when a lender can determine with a high level of certainty that the borrower's Strata Corporation will start to incur high Special Levies that may lead to foreclosures, even if they do not follow the Standards.

This comprehensive lending school is designed to meet the core commercial credit analysis training needs of community bankers. The course includes a review of fundamental financial accounting concepts and introduces basic financial statement credit analysis theory based on industry “best practices.” Using specially developed case studies allows participants to take a practical, hands-on approach when applying the analytical concepts discussed. These case studies are specifically created to enable participants to work within an information framework very similar to what they encounter in the field.
