CFPB UPDATE:

RMA’s 2018 Regulatory Survey revealed that compliance-related issues pose one of the greatest risk management challenges currently facing bank managers.  While efforts have been made to reduce compliance burden for many institutions, the volume and complexity of consumer-related regulatory requirements – combined with changing supervisory expectations – ensure that these challenges will remain.

Joining us for this call will be Gerald Sachs, Partner with the law firm Venable LLP and formerly Senior Counsel for Enforcement with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.  He will provide an update on current consumer regulatory, examination, and enforcement activities on the part of the CFPB and the prudential regulators.  A Q&A session will follow Mr. Sachs’ formal presentation.
