GCOR XVI Is Coming! What You Need to Know

RMA is excited to host GCOR XVI, the 16th annual Governance Compliance & Operational Resilience conference. Over 3,500 Members have already registered to engage with financial and regulatory leaders virtually from June 6-9, 2022. If you have already signed up, the attendee guide is now available here. Feel free to peruse the agenda, sign up for panels, and set up networking opportunities in the portal. Look for a daily email this week to help with planning.

During each session, panelists will be available to take questions live, so we encourage everyone to join the event in real time. However, sessions will also be available on-demand for a limited time.

GCOR is the only governance compliance & operational resiliency conference developed by the industry, for the industry. RMA has structured a rich, four-day agenda around core risk topics suggested by Members. Here is an overview to help you prepare your schedule:

Monday, June 6: Climate Risk Symposium. RMA’s Climate Symposium will convene the industry’s best leaders to discuss challenges and opportunities regarding climate risk management, and provide guidance for members on how to operationalize climate risk management principles within their own institutions. The program features a fireside chat with United Nations official David Carlin on the UN’s environmental program finance initiative, and a conversation with acting Comptroller Michael J. Hsu, who will share his views on the impact of climate risk on the financial system and what steps banks should be taking now.

Tuesday & Wednesday, June 7-8: Developed by the Operational Risk and ERM Councils, the GCOR agenda will address key themes for risk leaders, including data & privacy risk, cyber risk, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics, and strategic & disruption risk. The program features a keynote panel on managing non-financial risks, hosted by RMA CEO Nancy Foster; a review of the U.S. economic outlook, presented by the KPMG Office of the Chief Economist; and a Women in Risk keynote panel, highlighting the maturation of the operational risk discipline through the Advanced Operational Risk Group.

Thursday, June 9: The second Model Risk Management Summit, sponsored by the RMA Model Validation Consortium, continues to build a community around model risk for model owners and operators, risk managers, and quants. Dig deep into the evolution of operational risk measurement with our keynote panel and revisit the OCC handbook 's recent guidelines with Kevin Oden, founder and managing partner of Kevin D. Oden & Associates, a leading risk modeling validation company and RMA partner for RMA's Model Validation Consortium. This is a great opportunity to learn from model risk experts as they discuss the governance of model overlays and underlays, and oversight of non-model tools.

If you have not yet registered, there is still time to sign up, engage with colleagues, and earn valuable CPE credits as we discuss the most pressing challenges for risk professionals. We look forward to seeing you at GCOR.
