According to multiple OCC reports on key risks facing federal bank systems, Compliance Risk continues to increase as banks navigate the current operational environment, regulatory changes, and policy initiatives. Chief Compliance Officers (CCO) and their teams are facing a barrage of emerging risks like adapting to post-COVID expectations, new regulatory interpretations of existing guidelines, and emerging technology and products like digital assets and crypto. Managing these new challenges is difficult to do alone - which is why RMA has dedicated roundtable for Chief Compliance Officers and their delegates to come together to discuss leading practices in the compliance space.

This roundtable is in-person and graciously hosted at PNC Financial in Pittsburgh, PA. RMA will host an optional reception event the night before the event, Wednesday. Additional logistics are below, and RMA will provide to individuals post-registration. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
This roundtable offers a valuable opportunity to meet and discuss these challenges with your peers, and to identify best practices that you can leverage at your institution to enhance the value of your compliance programs. A unique feature of RMA’s Roundtables is that each event agenda is a bit different, as the agenda is driven by RMA’s Compliance Committee* and registered attendee’s recommendations. However, topics will likely include: 

• implementing proactive compliance risk management programs;
• navigating regulatory landscape;
• metrics/tools for measuring program effectiveness and efficiency;
• monitoring employee communication methods (approved vs. misconduct);
• implications of war in Ukraine (sanctions, scenarios);
• use of data in criminal investigations; and
• board reporting

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE EVENT?
The night before the event, RMA will host an optional reception cocktail dinner to welcome attendees and provide an atmosphere for informal socializing and networking. 

The roundtable will feature a lead facilitator, roundtable group discussions, and may include small breakout groups that will delve deeper into issues of specific interest. You will benefit from the problem-solving techniques discussed by your peers, regardless of the size of the institution. Participants share information about their programs (what works and what didn’t work), ask questions, and exchange ideas in a roundtable environment, to broaden their knowledge and acquire a firm understanding of the issues.

WHO WILL BENEFIT? 
The target financial institution is above $40 billion in assets. We recommend the following individuals to attend: 
• Chief Compliance Officers
• Directors/Managers of Compliance
• Delegated individuals from the above
 
We recommend no more than two registered participants per institution attend. Other financial sizes, titles/positions, professional members, and other third-parties can be considered by RMA approval. For requests or for any questions, please email ORMERM@rmahq.org before registering.

Reception Information
Reception is optional and will be hosted by a nearby restaurant on the night before the roundtable, Wednesday night, between 6-8 pm, September 28. Event registrants will be contacted by RMA several weeks in advance of the event to confirm reception attendance and provide details.

This roundtable is hosted at PNC Financial at their One PNC Building located at 249 Fifth Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Entrance location and conference room details will be provided to registrants in advance. We recommend you plan to arrive around 8:30 am, the event will start at 9:00 am through 4:00 pm. Refreshments and Lunch are included.
