Executive Vice President & Chief Credit Officer

Present Job Function: Waller is the executive vice president and chief credit officer for TIAA Bank. In this capacity, he has primary responsibility for TIAA’s credit administration, including policies and procedures, underwriting, credit authorities, ALLL, special assets, CRA, and internal and external reporting. Waller chairs the bank’s executive credit committee and senior credit approval committee. He also serves as a member of the bank’s management risk committee and asset-liability committee (ALCO).
Previous Employment: Prior to joining TIAA Bank, Waller served as senior vice president/chief credit officer for the consumer lending division of U.S. Bank in Cincinnati, OH. Earlier in his career, Waller held credit risk management and process improvement/quality positions with General Electric, Bank of America, Transamerica, and American General.
Education: Waller has an MBA in finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a BS in management from the University of West Florida.
