SFTR Delegated Reporting

Following the 2013 Financial Stability Board (FSB)’s recommendation to enhance transparency in the use of securities financing transactions (SFTs), the European Commission published the Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR).  Under Article 4 of the regulation, in-scope entities are required to report their SFTs to a trade repository registered by ESMA.

SFTR allows a counterparty who is subject to the reporting obligation to delegate reporting to a third party service provider.  RMA developed the following SFTR Reporting Delegation Agreement (RDA) as a template agreement that agent lenders may use to document reporting services that they may provide to clients who are subject to Article 4 of the Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR).
